We are looking for a talented BSA Officer to join our team in Nebraska. You will be reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Company's BSA/AML Program, ensuring compliance with all Federal and State Regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act, The USA Patriot Act, and government watchlist screening requirements under OFAC.

How you will make an impact

  • Act as the Company's BSA Officer responsible for setting up the BSA/AML monitoring program and processes including reviewing, modifying, and maintaining system parameters and documenting changes
  • Oversee compliance review processes for onboarding new clients and new accounts, account maintenance and other assurance functions
  • Develop and maintain nascent KYB/KYC process, Beneficial Owner checks, UAR partner bank filings, and escalations, coordinating with Bank operations staff
  • Provides input for CDD questionnaires, certification requests, sales support for pre-onboarding screening, and assist with escalation of items when staff is unable to obtain necessary information or documentation
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with AML, Transaction Monitoring, OFAC and screening vendors
  • Maintain import templates for additional data streams into the monitoring system such as card transactions, watchlist screening needs, as well as custom lists
  • Review and/or submit necessary BSA regulatory reporting such as Suspicious Activity Reports
  • Develop and conduct training for all newly hired employees regarding BSA/AML/OFAC
  • Plan for quarterly BSA meetings, coordinating meeting, delegating preparation tasks, reviewing completed lookbacks, and compiling meeting minutes
  • Periodically reviews procedures for the various functions of the BSA function, ensuing accuracy and completeness
  • Pursue or maintains relevant professional certifications to enhance BSA/AML knowledge regarding financial crimes
  • Provides occasional support for Risk Officer, regarding suspicious or fraudulent situations involving customers that require timely follow up such as fraud checks
  • Manage BSA staff including monitoring workloads, delegating tasks, overseeing processes, and assisting with investigation and decision making when needed
  • Maintains current knowledge of and adheres to the BSA policy
  • Assumes additional duties/responsibilities as required

What we're looking for

  • 5 + years’ experience in banking, trust, payments or fintech
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related fields
  • Required certification: CAMS
  • Preferred certifications: CRCM, or CFE
  • Proven track record of managing and developing BSA/AML programs
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as regulations, rules, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Knowledge of Nebraska Banking Act, NDBF rules and regulations
  • Trust experience preferred but not required
  • Experience or keen interest in working in startup environment
